For fun, and to play devil’s advocate, do you think it’s also true that processes and measurement sometimes get in the way of knowing what you should do? I love Yves Morieux's talks on Ted, he argues that what you need is collaboration not measurement. I would add vision to this. Look at Apple with their 3D Touch solution, this is a massive leap of faith that took years and billions to develop. It’s not based on existing customer journeys, it’s looking to create new ones, through a clear vision of what is right and close cooperation across the org.
How else are you going to stand out from the crowd?
